CLUB SERVICE PROJECTS |
|
Community Service Projects: |
The Altrusa Club of Meredith supports many area organizations and initiatives. Some of the organizations and initiatives supported are:
|
Scholarships for Non-Traditional Students: |
We are very proud to give several scholarships annually to non-traditional students returning to continue their education. |
ASTRA Club: |
ASTRA, an acronym formed from Ability, Service, Training, Responsibility and Achievement, is the name for the youth groups sponsored by Altrusa Clubs as part of their program of community service. |
Literacy Projects: |
We are involved in several literacy and reading promotions for children and adults. |
| Disaster Relief: | We have a disaster relief fund for victims of fire or other disasters. |
MAJOR FUND RAISER |
|
| To fund the many initiatives and community outreaches that we do, the Altrusa Club of Meredith hosts the annual Festival of Trees and Silent Auction held each year in late November/early December. The Festival of Trees is the largest fundraiser for Altrusa and has become a family tradition in the Lakes Region. Be sure to look for announcements each year about the Festival and make it part of your holiday tradition. | |
